Imagine for: you get the plane and two and a half hours later you are at the heart of Europe, but in a totally different world: the authentic Mediterranean Montenegro. Montenegro was a constituent republic of Yugoslavia, once the holiday quarter of Europe since 2006 and is back on the map as an independent country. The country is now being rediscovered by investors and holidaymakers.
Montenegro is centrally located on the Adriatic Sea opposite Italy and next Croatia (Dubrovnik). On the coast a pleasant Mediterranean climate prevails. With 240 sunny days a year there was a nice place. The mountainous interior, with peaks above 2,500 m, has however a subalpine climate with mild summers and snow in the winter months. The small country (one third of the Netherlands) offers a vast and unique range of culture and nature. It is among the most beautiful countries in the world and is known as the pearl of the Mediterranean called! One will find lovely beaches, bays, majestic mountains that reach to the azure sea, wild rivers, clear mountain lakes and historic towns. Montenegro enjoys both summer and winter of colorful flora. There is no place in such a small area so much natural contrasts to be found. The beauty of the land exceeds the expectations of its visitors. Montenegro is a country of individuals.
